For a country with such terrible weather, we have an amazing selection of festivals. From new-age gatherings with spoon-whittling seminars to 3-day ravey-day bucket hat bonanzas, the range is staggering. As well as being great fun, they also represent a fantastic business opportunity.
Anyone whose been to a festival will know that losing things comes as second nature. Drinks, dancing, and a combination of confusion and chaos all contribute to an environment that calls out for a cohesive lost property platform to pick up the pieces.
Fortunately for revellers, our presence can be expected at a wide range of events this year. Naturally, you will be choosing festivals by the lost property process, so, not wanting to deprive you of an informed decision, we’ve laid out the NotLost festival calendar.
2000 Trees
Line-up: Jimmy Eat World, Idles, Thrice, You Me At Six, The Chats
Set up by six friends in 2007, 2000trees is a three-day rock and indie event nestled in the rolling Cotswolds hills. Music-wise, you can expect both established and underground names, who we hope will be doing their best to delight the 15,000 attendees. If mosh pits and rock bands aren’t your thing, don’t worry. Friday and Saturday nights have silent aka headphone discos going on till three.

Anything else?
In true country fashion, 2000trees will also be hosting a sheepdog show trial. Ever wondered how Shepard’s get sheep to do what they want? This is your chance.
British Summertime
When: 25th June – 10th July
Lineup: Rolling Stones, Adele, Elton John, Eagles, Pearl Jam
Speak out over three weekends, British Summer Time is one of London’s most well-established day festivals. This means it attracts music royalty, ranging from the biggest current names to the old pros your mum loves. There’s also an abundance of hospitality packages for those that want to live the high life and frankly, if you’re going to see the Rolling Stones, you might as well make the most of it.
Anything else?
BST also runs a free mid-week event called Open House, featuring a range of entertainment and activities. One for the thrifty among us.
Arctangent
When: 19th – 22nd August
Line-up: Opeth, Cult of Luna, Tesseract, Mono, Zeal and Ardor, TWDY
ArcTanGent puts itself forward as the leading festival authority on Math-Rock, Noise-Rock and Post-Rock. It takes place on Fernhill Farm, a small and Serene plot of land just south of Bristol. Being relatively small feel mean you can see a high proportion of the bands with a minimum of confused bumbling.
Anything else?
Once the guitars are packed away, an ‘infamous’ silent disco takes place till 3 am. Exactly what makes it infamous hasn’t been revealed, but apparently, it needs to be seen to be believed.
All Points East
When: 19th – 28th August
Lineup: Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, The National, Disclosure, James Blake, Gorrilaz, Idles
Heading back to the capital, All Points East offers a truly eclectic selection of music in the iconic Victoria Park. It contains a mix of electronic, rock, and indie acts, spread over 10 days, with the different weekends leaning more towards certain genres.
Naturally, there’s a wide range of food stalls for the hungry masses and more bars than you can shake a stick at.
Anything else?
There’s also a funfair. Enough said

How NotLost works
At each of these events, NotLost’s presence will give attendees the best chance of getting their misplaced possessions back, while save staff valuable time. Here’s how it works.
1) Someone loses their phone
2) A member of staff finds it, takes a picture and uploads it to NotLost’s secure database
3) Our image recognition software creates a profile for the item
4) Our phoneless friend makes an enquiry at the event, where there items can be easily searched and returned. If it hasn’t been found yet, a missing item ticket gets created, and the attendee is contacted if it turns up
5) Or, they wait until they get home and make and enquiry via the self service portal
6) The NotLost matching engine pairs up lost and handed in items, which are then validated by a member of the festival team
7) The attendee is sent a list of return options
